Testing, Testing

Testing, Testing

Consider, from now on, information will be generated primarily without the need of a human mind. What does this do to a young person’s ability to question the world around them? How might the development of one’s true voice be influenced by the platforms and tools most speedily available? These are big questions that keep me up at night.

If there is one thing we have confirmed over the past several weeks, it is that doing a test before launching was a great idea. We are so grateful to the wonderful kids (and moms) who boldly answered our call to try something new. What's so bold and new about snail mail? First off, the fact that we might refer to it as snail mail should clue us in that there is more generational difference between us and nine-year olds than we can imagine. Second, with the help of our kits, many of the testers wrote and mailed letters for the very first time! Now that is something to write home about.

The feedback has been extraordinary, from suggestions on the mechanics of our physical product to a common thread expressed by moms that what we are doing is so needed right now. This has stirred within us a greater understanding of the possibilities ahead, and we are so excited for our next steps.
